Terms of Service
Effective Date: 13 July 2026
1. Introduction
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) apply to all services provided by PC ASSIST (“we”, “our”, or “us”).
By booking or using our services, you agree to these Terms.
2. Services
PC ASSIST provides a range of technology services including, but not limited to:
- Computer & laptop repairs
- Home IT support
- Business IT support
- Remote support
- Wi-Fi & network setup
- Microsoft 365 support
- Virus & malware removal
- Printer & peripheral setup
- Smart home & device installation
- Website design & development
- Website hosting & maintenance
- General technology consulting
3. Quotes & Pricing
Written quotes are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated.
Website pricing advertised as “From $695” is a starting price only. Final pricing depends on the scope and complexity of the project.
Any additional work requested outside the agreed scope will be quoted separately before work begins.
4. Payment
Payment is due upon completion of work unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Website projects may require a deposit before development begins.
Late payment may result in suspension of hosting, maintenance or future work until outstanding invoices are paid.
5. On-Site Appointments
A minimum call-out fee may apply for on-site visits.
Where applicable, this fee will always be discussed before work begins and is credited towards the first hour of labour if you proceed with the service.
6. Website Design
Website packages generally include the features outlined in your accepted quote.
Unless otherwise agreed:
- Clients are responsible for providing logos, branding and written content.
- Two complimentary content updates are included within six months of the website going live.
- Additional revisions, redesigns or new functionality may incur additional charges.
- Ongoing maintenance and support are optional services unless included in your proposal.
Websites developed by PC ASSIST are professionally built using modern web technologies and are not based on drag-and-drop website builders unless specifically requested by the client.
7. Website Hosting
Where website hosting is provided by PC ASSIST:
- Hosting is billed separately.
- Clients retain ownership of their domain name.
- Clients may transfer their website to another provider once all outstanding invoices have been paid.
- PC ASSIST is not responsible for outages or service interruptions caused by third-party hosting providers, domain registrars or internet service providers.
8. Data & Backups
Although every reasonable care is taken during repairs and upgrades, clients remain responsible for maintaining backups of important files.
Data recovery services are performed on a best-effort basis and successful recovery cannot be guaranteed.
9. Third-Party Services
PC ASSIST may recommend or configure third-party products or services including Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, domain registrars, hosting providers, cloud services and internet providers.
We are not responsible for service interruptions, pricing changes or policy changes made by these third-party providers.
10. Warranty
We aim to provide all services with reasonable care, skill and professionalism.
Due to the wide variety of hardware, software and third-party services available, we cannot guarantee that every issue can be resolved or that repairs will permanently resolve every problem.
Manufacturer warranties remain the responsibility of the original manufacturer.
11. Limitation of Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes any rights available under the Australian Consumer Law.
To the extent permitted by law, PC ASSIST's liability is limited to the amount paid for the relevant service.
We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of profits, business interruption, data loss or delays caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control.
12. Cancellations
Appointments may be cancelled or rescheduled by contacting us as soon as possible.
Missed appointments or cancellations after travel has commenced may incur a reasonable call-out fee.
13. Privacy
Your privacy is important to us.
Please refer to our Privacy Policy for information about how we collect, use and protect your personal information.
14. Changes to These Terms
These Terms may be updated from time to time.
The latest version will always be published on our website.
