Computer repairs on the Central Coast
Computer running slow, showing errors or refusing to print? I come to your home anywhere on the Central Coast, find out what’s actually wrong and fix it, explaining everything in plain English.
I work on Windows and Mac desktops and laptops, all brands. Many software problems can also be sorted remotely, without a visit.
Fully insured. You deal directly with the owner, Miles, from first call to finished job.
What I can help with
Most visits start with one problem and end with the whole computer working properly again.
Desktop and laptop troubleshooting
Computers that won’t start, crash, freeze or keep restarting. I’ll find the cause, explain your options and fix it, or tell you honestly if it’s time to replace it.Windows problems
Updates that won’t install, error messages, login trouble and programs that won’t open or keep closing.Slow computers
Clearing start-up clutter and unnecessary software, checking the drive and tuning performance. Where it’s worthwhile, I’ll recommend an upgrade rather than a new machine.Malware and unwanted software
Pop-ups, fake virus warnings, browser hijacks and anything left behind after a scam call. I clean it out and set up proper protection.Software installation and setup
Microsoft Office and Microsoft 365, email accounts, security software and the programs you use every day, installed and set up properly.Printers and accessories
Printers that won’t print or have dropped off the Wi-Fi, scanners, monitors, keyboards and other accessories.Home computer support
New computer setup and moving your files across, Wi-Fi problems, phones and tablets, and patient one-on-one help with everyday technology. See all services.Data recovery
Trying to get photos and documents back from a computer or drive that has stopped working. Whether files can be recovered depends on the condition of the drive.
On-site or remote?
On-site visit
Best for hardware faults, printers, Wi-Fi and anything you’d rather have someone look at in person. I come to you, and if a repair needs more time I may take the computer back to my workshop and return it once it’s done.
$150/hr, or $125/hr for seniors. $60 call-out, credited to your first hour.
Remote support
Ideal for software problems, email and settings. With your permission, I connect to your computer using secure remote access software and fix the problem while you watch.
$120/hr. No call-out fee. Available Australia-wide.
Areas I cover
I’m based in Umina Beach and provide computer repairs and home IT support across the Central Coast, including Umina Beach, Woy Woy, Ettalong Beach, Gosford, Erina, Terrigal, Kincumber, Tuggerah and Wyong. I also work with customers in Newcastle, the Hunter and North Sydney.
There’s no shopfront: I come to your home or business, or help remotely when that’s quicker. Remote support is available Australia-wide.
